Public Skating Season Begins at College’s Conway Ice Rink; Free Admission During First Weekend

The Conway Ice Rink at Hudson Valley Community College opens for the 2016-17 season on Saturday, Oct. 29. Admission is free on opening weekend. The 18,000 square foot rink, located in the McDonough Sports Complex, offers recreational skating for all ages from 4 to 6:15 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and from noon to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Admission rates are $2 for children 2 to 17 years old; $2 for seniors (60+); and $3 for adults. There is a $1 per person discount for a group of ten or more with advance notice. Quality skate rentals at $3 each are available for toddlers through adults. 

The season runs through Sunday, March 5, 2017. The rink will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24; Saturday, Dec. 24; Sunday, Dec. 25; Saturday, Dec. 31; and Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. It will be open extended hours during the holiday week, Monday, Dec. 26 - Friday, Dec. 30. from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6:15 p.m.
